Community Junior Schools
All the following schools are day
schools in the Vale of Glamorgan and can cater for pupils of both
sexes.
Junior schools cater for pupils
between the ages of eight and eleven years. Children enter junior
schools and departments in the September following their seventh
birthday, and remain for four years. Each junior school is linked
with an infant school (in most cases they are on the same site) and
children normally transfer from their infant school to the linked
junior school.
Applying for a place
All applications for places at
community schools are managed by the Local Education Authority.
