Genesis Project
A unique project to help bring parents back into training and
education has been launched in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The Genesis Project aims to remove the barriers so many parents
face when wanting to return to training, education, and ultimately
employment. To achieve this the project offers help, support and
advice to parents along with subsidised childcare.
They can help in locating a suitable college course etc.
securing childcare places and providing payment for these places.
They can support parents in finding appropriate employment and help
with payment of childcare. It is part of an all-Wales organisation
linked to key Central government initiatives and is partly funded
by the Objective 3 European Social Fund.
Based at 1 Police House on Winston Road in Barry, the Vale's
Genesis Project team is Rachel Nugent-Finn and Vickie Breadmore.
Looking forward to the challenges ahead, Rachel said: "Both Vickie
and I have enormous commitment to the Vale of Glamorgan and look
forward to working with all families to offer every opportunity of
a brighter future."
