Reviewing your child’s progress
Your child’s progress will be continually monitored and reviewed
throughout the graduated response. Your child’s needs may change
over time.
If your child has a Statement, the LEA must ensure that the
Statement continues to meet their needs. The LEA must review the
Statement at least once a year, but they can review it more often
if they think it is necessary.
The annual review is in four parts:
1. The collection of information by the school – you will be
given copies of all information
collected before the meeting itself
2. The annual review meeting – you will be invited to attend
3. The headteacher’s report and recommendation to the LEA
4. The LEA review of the Statement
