The Vale of Glamorgan Education Scheme, which is presently in draft form, outlines the ways in which the authority will address the development of Welsh across all phases of education and within the community over a three-year period.
The School Improvement Service consists of a Welsh Adviser and a team of Athrawon Bro who support the development of Welsh. The Athrawon Bro work in partnership with schools to enhance the methodology and linguistic skills of teachers.
The school improvement service provides a programme of training to develop different aspects of provision such as an intensive training to enhance bilingual skills, developing Cwricwlwm Cymraeg, transition and assessment in both Welsh and English medium schools.
