EMAS (Ethnic Minority Achievement Service)
EMAS in the Vale of Glamorgan works in partnership with schools
to raise the achievement of pupils with English as an Additional
Language.
Our team support schools and mainstream teachers to ensure
pupils with EAL have access to the National Curriculum.
With access to translators we can ensure that parents of EAL
pupils have knowledge and understanding about the education of
their children.
We work with the School Improvement Service to
deliver training for schools.
We also produce guidelines for teaching EAL pupils and
information about Minority Ethnic pupils in the Vale.
With the School Improvement Service we help develop provision
for race equality and cultural diversity issues in the Vale.
