Good Practice Guide for Mainstream Primary Schools
As a result of the WG Speech and Language Services Pilot
Project for Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, professionals from
across the two LEA's and from the Cardiff and Vale NHS Speech and
Language Therapy Department have worked together and produced a
Good Practice Guide for Mainstream Primary Schools.
The Guide has been produced collaboratively with Specialist
Teachers, SEN Advisors and Speech and Language Therapists from
across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. This offers a framework
for best practice and strategies for supporting children
including those with a range of speech, language and communication
difficulties (SLCD).
The Guide is accompanied by a set of resources for supporting
the strategies/activities outlined. Both the Guides and resources
were distributed to all SENCOs at the Good Practice Guide Training
sessions in March.
