Public Protection
The role of Environmental Health Department is to achieve a
safe, pleasant and sustainable environment for the residents of and
visitors to the Vale of Glamorgan.
The Department acts at a strategic and operational level to
promote and protect the health, safety and wellbeing of the public
through the provision of advice, regulation and enforcement in
accordance with national and local policy.
We are also committed to promoting a fair, safe and equitable
trading environment by encouraging good business practice and
protecting consumers.
