Food Hygiene Training
Under The E.C. Regulations 852/2004, proprietors of food
businesses must ensure that all food handlers engaged in the food
business are supervised, instructed and/or trained in food hygiene
matters appropriate to their activities.
Training will relate to the specific job of the individual and
also the type of food they handle. Staff who handle high risk foods
will need more detailed training than those who handle low risk
foods.
Managers or Supervisors of food handlers may need to consider a
higher level of training. There are a number of organisations that
run suitable courses.
For information on training and venues for training please
select Food hygiene Courses and Trainers from the left hand menu or
contact The Chartered Institute of Environmental Health on 020
