Food Industry Guidelines
Specific sections of the food industry have produced
Industry Guides, which provide detailed information about food
safety standards and practices appropriate to that industry.
Although they carry no legal force, they are legally recognised
as an important reference document for food safety officers
when enforcing food safety standards.
The existence of these guides helps to ensure consistency of
approach and helps make food safety officers aware of any
difficulties specific to that Industry.
