The Awards
The joint initiative between the Food Standards Agency Wales and
the Vale of Glamorgan Council targets food businesses which prepare
and/or sell high-risk foods.
Businesses are assessed for the Award during routine inspections of
premises by Environmental Health Officers. These inspections are
unannounced. Where businesses meet the high standards required,
they are rewarded with either a bronze, silver or gold award.
