This year's Summer Reading Challenge, Team Read, gives you the opportunity to be part of a reading team which covers the whole country!

Join in the fun - and you can also bring home your own medal!

The Challenge!Team Read reading gang

This year's game has a sports theme. Look out for information about 'Team Read' at your library or school in July.

Team Read is a free reading challenge for children aged

4 - 12.

First, if you are not yet a member, join your local library.

This is easy to do and it's free!

From Saturday July 12th until Saturday 6th September, you can join the reading team, taking up the challenge to read 6 books over the summer holidays.

You will receive an "animated" Team Read membership card and there are six stickers to collect to complete the picture on your own fold-out poster.

Like the athletes in the Olympics you can aim to reach bronze, silver and gold levels.

When you have completed your 6 books you receive a glittering medal and a certificate
