Mobile Libraries
Operating times
Two mobile libraries are on the road most days from Monday to
Saturday. They call at stops on a two-week timetable. Both vehicles
provide a service in and around Barry, Penarth and the rural Vale.
Both can negotiate narrow lanes, so there are few parts of the Vale
that are inaccessible.
Accessibility
Both vehicles are fully accessible by people with mobility
problems.
What we've got to offer
The mobiles offer a free service using the same computer cards
used at all Vale libraries. Each has a selection of popular fiction
and non-fiction, a range of children's books, talking books and
books in large print. If the book you want is not in stock you can
reserve it for a small charge.
The mobiles call at stops every other week. To find out the day
and time of your nearest mobile stop, please phone the contact
