Bag a Book Bag
Libraries are doing their bit to make the Vale a plastic bag
free zone. We’ve recently taken delivery of a limited number of
reusable jute bags which are ideal for carrying books to and from
the library. Library staff devised the slogan Bag a Book / Bachwch
Lyfr and this is printed on the side of the bags along with the
library logo and website address.
Several bags were tested in the search for a bag that was
distinctive, an ideal size and with a sturdy and comfortable
handle. It’s no accident that the bags are the perfect size to
carry 10 books. 10 is the maximum number of books or other items
which customers may borrow at one time. We feel we’ve found just
the right bag and they are now on sale in all our libraries at £2
each.
We do not
expect all the bags to stay in the Vale for long. If you take your
bag on holiday with you this year why not send us a photo. We’ll
put copies of the best photos on the website. We look forward to
receiving photos from all four corners of the UK and the world.
