Online Resources Spotlight

Each month we highlight one of our online resources. These resources can be found on our 24 Hour Library or Homework Help  Page. They allow Vale of Glamorgan Library members to view a range of information books and newspapers online. Many of these databases can be accessed from any internet PC when you type your library card number.

December: Christmas: Encyclopaedia Britannica Online

This month’s online resources theme is Christmas. Use Encyclopaedia Britannica Online  to find out more about Christmas and other winter festivals. Encyclopaedia Britannica is one of the most complete and accurate information sources in the world. The online version includes pictures, sound clips, videos and a web guide. It also allows you to view a selection of articles from magazines and journals, and a collection of 225 classic works. You can find essays, speeches, and more.You can access Encyclopaedia Britannica from any internet PC by typing in your library card number. Also available are Britannica Junior (for primary school children) and Britannica Student (for secondary school children). They can be found on our Homework Help Page.
