Library Service Update

Our library buildings located at Barry, Cowbridge, Llantwit Major and Penarth (temporarily located at the Sea Cadets’ Hall) are offering a click and collect service for library members to loan items. Using this service is easy; simply browse our online catalogue and place your reservations online by logging in with your membership number and PIN. When your item is ready to collect, we will contact you using your preferred contact method in order to arrange a collection time that is convenient to you. If you are unsure of your membership number or PIN, please contact us so we can look them up for you. Users who are not online can also contact their local branch by telephone to place reservations.

If you’re not sure what to read next, you may be interested in our “lucky dip” service where library staff will prepare a selection of five books based on your reading preferences. Please contact your local library by phone or email if you would like to make use of this service.

If you’re not able to visit us in person at the moment, don’t forget that you can also join online and get free and instant access to our huge range of electronic resources including ebooks, audiobooks and magazines.

Please note that recycling containers, bags and dog bags are not currently available at Vale of Glamorgan library branches.
