TeleV Packages

Whichever home safety package you choose, you will be provided with a small alarm unit (Lifeline unit) and a pendant which can be worn around the neck or if preferred worn around the wrist.

Free Telecare Installation

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation we are temporarily waiving our Telecare installation fee of £59.50 (At this time we are only able to install a Lifeline unit and pendant).

Wherever possible we will try and complete the installation with a healthy relative (if the customer has an underlying health condition) and keep the time we are in the property to a minimum. We will also practice social distancing.

Please note: There is a weekly fee for this service from 1st April 2020. This will be £4.05 per week.

You will also be provided with additional sensors, depending on the package that you choose. The benefit of these sensors is that they trigger an alarm through the Lifeline allowing operators to be alerted.

For example if the smoke detector has alerted the operators will be able to hear through the lifeline and establish the most appropriate action.

Pacakge-1Package 1

The TeleV Home Safety package (1) includes:

  • Lifeline unit
  • Pendant
  • Wireless Smoke Detectors x 2
  • Heat Alarm

  • Lifeline unit and Pendant
    Slide1_Alarm_EDIT
The Lifeline unit is designed to protect people living in their own homes. The unit comes with a pendant, thus an alarm call can be raised via the home unit from anywhere in the home or garden, simply by pressing the pendant or by pressing the large red button on the unit. The pendant can be triggered up to 50 metres away.

It can be worn as a neck pendant, or on the wrist like a watch. The Lifeline unit provides additional peace of mind by monitoring a wide range of equipment via intelligent Telecare sensors including temperature extremes and smoke detection.

We also provide 24-hour support through the use of monitoring for a greater level of personal and home reassurance.

How it works: When the Lifeline unit is activated, both the client details and the nature of the call are displayed on a screen at the 24-hour monitoring centre showing the type of call and how the call was initiated (E.g. direct press of pendant or smoke detector alerting). Because the Lifeline unit has a powerful loudspeaker and sensitive microphone, free two-way speech can usually be established between the user and the monitoring centre operator.

  • Wireless Smoke Detector
    Telecare-Smoke-Detector
The smoke detector is for anyone who is at risk in their home and requiring extra peace of mind.

On detection of smoke the Smoke detector will raise two alarms. Firstly a local audible alarm and secondly a signal will be sent to the Lifeline unit. This in turn will immediately raise a call to the 24-hour monitoring centre and the operator will alert the emergency services. As the process is automatic and immediate, the risks to life and property damage are greatly reduced.

The supplied battery has a life expectancy of 5 years.  As with other equipment, the smoke detector has an automatic low battery reporting mechanism. Meaning a Telecare Support Officer will come out to change any batteries once a low battery signal is sent as part of our ongoing service.

Fires poses one of the most serious threats to people at home and its effects are devastating.  Every year fires in the home cause hundreds of deaths and damage thousands of homes.  Homes equipped with smoke detectors continue to discover fires more rapidly than those without, and are associated with lower casualty rates and less damage.

Installing wireless smoke detectors as part of the TeleV home safety service further reduces the risks associated with fire due to the alerting of someone outside the home situation who will be able to take immediate action, when the person in the home may not react quickly enough (particularly at night time, when the person may be more slow, confused or not hear the alarm).
  • Heat Alarm

    Telecare-heat-detector
The Tunstall heat alarm is a wireless, indoor sensor which gives early warning of potential fire in the home and raises an alarm to alert help. The heat alarm is easily fitted onto the ceiling and raises an alarm if the temperature rises to 58°C.

Package-2Package 2

The TeleV Home Safety package (2) includes:

  • Lifeline unit
  • Pendant
  • Wireless Smoke Detector x 1
  • Carbon Monoxide Detector

  • Lifeline unit and Pendant
    Slide1_Alarm_EDIT
The Lifeline unit is designed to protect people living in their own homes. The unit comes with a personal pendant, thus an alarm call can be raised via the home unit from anywhere in the home or garden, simply by pressing the radio trigger or by pressing the large red button on the unit. The Lifeline unit provides additional peace of mind by monitoring a  range of events through the use of intelligent Telecare sensors including smoke detection and Carbon Monoxide (CO) emissions. It can also provide 24-hour monitoring for a greater level of personal and home reassurance.

The pendant can be triggered form up to 50 metres away, and can be worn around the neck as pendant or around the wrist like a watch. How it works: When the Lifeline unit is activated, both the client details and the nature of the call are displayed on a screen at the 24-hour monitoring centre showing the type of call and how the call was initiated.

As the process is automatic and immediate, the risks to life and property are greatly reduced.
  • Carbon Monoxide Detector
    Carbon-monoxide-detector
Detector provides an immediate alert when dangerous CO emissions have been detected due to a blocked flue or fault in a fuel burning appliance.

This will then come through to the monitoring centre and allow the operator to talk to the client via the two way speech and decide the best course of action (e.g. client vacate property and call emergency services etc.)The wireless Carbon Monoxide Battery Operated.

Package-3Package 3

The TeleV Home Safety package (3) includes:

  • Lifeline unit
  • Pendant
  • Wireless Smoke Detector x 1
  • Passive Infra Red (PIR)/ movement detector
  • Passive Infra Red (PIR)/ Movement sensor
    motion-sensor new
The passive Infra Red (PIR) is a wireless movement detector that can be used to detect inactivity, so that if movement has not been detected within a home over a predetermined time period (e.g 12 or 24 hours), an alarm will be raised to the monitoring centre, so for example when there is a low risk of falling, it can be used to check that a person has got out of bed or visited the kitchen in the morning.
