We’re inviting all your young Superheroes out there to have a go at our Super Hero Trail. Learn valuable lessons about the world around us and what Earth’s toughest enemies are, like plastic, poaching and climate change and how they can save the planet by learning what they can do to help.

Every environmental issue they learn about and chose the right solution to solving, will give them superpower points. Once they have finished the trail and added their points up, they can graduate form Super Hero Academy and claim their prize.

We are also offering free entry for that day to Grandparents and their grandchildren (up to 2 adults and 3 children), if they join up on the day for *Friends of The Farm Membership.

There are more than 200 Trade Stands on the field, marketing and selling a huge variety of goods.  A Food Hall stands in the centre of the field selling produce, most of which has been grown or made in the Vale, along with a Shopping Mall. The Show hosts a large Craft Fair and Horticultural Show along with a Home Produce marquee.
There is also the Poultry Show and KC Registered Dog Show and Cattle and Sheep Classes.  Horse Classes run in the main ring from 6.30am until 3pm when there is a spectacular Grand Parade of all the Prize Winning Animals.

Installation artist Luke Jerram’s incredible touring artwork, Gaia, will be the centerpiece of a six-week celebration of our planet at Wales Millennium Centre this summer.

 

Measuring a staggering seven metres in diameter, Gaia features detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface floating in 3D, giving visitors an astronaut's view of our incredible planet. It will be free to see inside the Centre’s Glanfa foyer.

Dinotopia - Meet the adventurer Captain Jon Voyage and his beautiful dinosaur, Odysseia the Parasaurolophus, torn from the pages of a Boy's Own adventure and shipwrecked on our shores. Help the captain as he studies his map in an attempt to return the beast to the late Cretaceous period of The Land that Time Forgot. Failing that, simply make friends with Odysseia and help her understand that not all humans are barbaric cavemen & women.

Experience an exciting new high ropes course perched in the beech trees at St Fagans National Museum of History.

 

Climb, swing, balance and wobble your way through the trees, and see the sights of St Fagans from above, before zipping back down to earth.

Tackle CoedLan’s 18 different obstacles, including a balance beam, zig zag bridge, cargo nets and a zip wire.

No advance booking necessary – purchase your tickets on the day from the Museum’s front desk.

Participants must be 110cm tall in order to take part. Children between 110cm and 130cm must be accompanied by an individual over 130cm. The maximum weight is 18 stone.

 

Cost: £12 per person for one full circuit of the high ropes which includes a 50m zip wire to finish.
