Youth Action Groups are youth councils that work with local decision-makers in their towns to make sure young people’s views and ideas are taken seriously. They also have fun getting involved in projects and activities to help make things better for young people in their town. Members of youth action groups are aged 11-18 and are known as youth councillors. Youth councillors are primarily elected by young people from schools and youth organisations within the town to represent their views, ideas and interests and to take action on their behalf.
