Change to Membership of Community Liaison Committee


Purpose of the Report

1.         To consider a change to the membership of the Community Liaison Committee notified by the Independent Group.  The overall size and membership of the Committee was considered and agreed at the Annual Meeting on 13th May, 2015.


That Councillor C.J. Williams replace Councillor R.J. Bertin on the Community Liaison Committee, with effect from 25th June, 2015.

Reasons for the Recommendations

To meet the request of the Independent Group for a change in representation.

3.         Councillor Penrose, as Group Leader, has indicated that he wishes to replace Councillor Bertin with Councillor Williams as a member of the Community Liaison Committee.

6.         The Council, as far as practicable, is required to comply with the requirements of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 in terms of political balance requirements.

10.      Changes to the composition, membership and terms of reference for Committees and any consequential changes to the Constitution are matters for Council to determine.
