Use of the Managing Director's Emergency Powers

 

Purpose of the Report

  1. To notify Council of the exercising of Emergency Powers in respect of Council (as opposed to Executive) functions by the Managing Director since the last report in September 2016.

Recommendations

That the report be noted.

Reasons for the Recommendations

To inform Council.

Background

  1. The Emergency Powers procedure was approved by Minute No. 95, 2012/13.

Relevant Issues and Options

  1. To note the following:

          (a)     To give effect to the following with immediate effect and until further notice:

                        Councillor Julie Aviet to replace Councillor Kate Edmunds on the Learning and Culture Scrutiny Committee

                        Councillor Bronwen Brooks to replace Councillor Kate Edmunds on the Voluntary Sector Joint Liaison Committee

(Scrutiny - Corporate Performance and Resources)
