Working together for a brighter future: Corporate Plan 2020-25
The Vale of Glamorgan Council is ambitious – for our residents, visitors, those who work here and those who do business in the Vale, both now and for future generations.
We have begun work on our new Corporate Plan for 2020-25 which sets out how the Council will achieve our vision for Strong Communities with a Bright Future.
We’ve outlined an ambitious programme of activity for the next five years with a strong emphasis on working in partnership to improve local well-being.
In developing the Plan we have considered a range of information including how the population will change and the services we currently deliver and will need to in the future.
We have listened to what partners and local residents have told us about their priorities and what matters to them.
We have also taken stock of the progress we’ve made to date in delivering the current Plan.
This has led us to draft four new objectives which set out what we will look to achieve in the coming years. We are confident that by meeting these objectives we will make significant progress towards our vision for strong communities with a bright future.
Our proposed new objectives are:
To work with and for our communities
To support learning, employment and sustainable economic growth
To support people at home and in their community
To respect, enhance and enjoy our environment
We invite you to take a look at the documents below for more details about what these objectives will mean for you and the steps we plan to take to achieve them.
Have your say
We want a bright future for everyone in the Vale and are keen to hear what you have to say on the draft Plan. We want to know what you think about our plans for the next five years. Let us know by completing the online survey. Hard copies of the survey will be available at libraries and main Council buildings.
We will also be meeting with our partners and other key stakeholders to capture their feedback on our draft plan.
