Preparing for Brexit
Information, advice and guidance on preparing for Brexit
EU Citizens Living in Wales
Brexit means that EU citizens and their families will have to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme to continue living and working in the UK after 30 June 2021.
If the UK leaves the EU without a deal, the deadline for applying will be 31 December 2020.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council is one of the local authorities supporting EU, EEA and Swiss citizens to complete the ID verification part of the application process.
Only EU biometric passports for EU citizens or UK issued Biometric Residence Permits(BRP) for family members can be accepted for the local authority ID verification service.
