Running from Sunday 24 May to Sunday 7 June, the two-week trail brings together local producers, growers, cafés, restaurants and independent businesses for a celebration of food that is good for people, place and planet.

Designed to shine a spotlight on the Vale’s vibrant and diverse food culture, the trail showcases seasonal produce, locally sourced ingredients, and businesses that put community and sustainability at the heart of what they do.

From farm open days and tasting sessions to workshops, tours and special menus, the Vale Food Trail offers something for everyone — whether you’re a passionate foodie, curious about sustainable living, or simply looking for a great day out with family or friends.

This year’s trail continues to champion the role that local food businesses play in building a healthier, fairer and more environmentally friendly food system. By highlighting producers and the venues that support them, the event encourages people to explore where their food comes from and how choosing local can make a positive difference.

The Vale Food Trail is organised by Food Vale, Vale of Glamorgan Council, Visit the Vale, and Cywain, who are working together to support a thriving and sustainable food and drink sector across the region.

Louise Denham, Food Vale Co-ordinator, said: “The Vale Food Trail is designed to encourage people to explore where their food comes from and how choosing local can make a positive difference, by highlighting local producers and the venues that support them. We hope to see residents from the Vale and beyond enjoying the fantastic produce these venues have to offer’.
