An introduction into some of the wonderful methods of hand printing that are perfect for printing at home without a press. This course will explore a series of printing methods including Lino, Mono printing and Japanese woodblock printing. You can bring some ideas, sketches or photos for inspiration if you wish, but don’t worry I will have photos and images with me.
Equipment List:
A4 cartridge paper. (inexpensive lightweight 80gsm is ok, printer paper) / A4 tracing paper / Soft B pencil (preferable B6 or softer) / Black fine Sharpie pen / Set of coloured pencils. If you already have the following, please bring along, but we will discuss these items in the first lesson. Lino cutting set, Relief printing inks, Rollers, Lino, Inking tray, printing paper.
