This course will initially take place online via Zoom, but will move back into the classroom when the building is safe to open to the public.
This course is designed for anyone interested in supporting children’s education – whether you’re curious about Learning Support as a career or you’ve often thought about helping out in a local school. The course is open to all over the age of 16, and has no entry requirements.
Over the ten weeks, an insight will be given into supporting young people in all areas of the curriculum at Primary level, within the classroom setting and outdoors. Learners will have opportunity to access Safeguarding, Welsh, Food Hygiene and Outdoor Learning/Forest School introductory sessions (some with certification) in addition to the central study areas of the course. Learners will also build a tool-kit of resources, games, songs and ideas as well as gaining understanding of the next steps in becoming involved in school life.
