Acrylics for Beginners
This course will take place online via Zoom.
This is a Zoom course using blended learning methods, for example, short videos, shared screens and breakout rooms for small group work.
We will begin with exploring techniques painting with Acrylic- i.e colour mixing, tint, tones and shade, layers and glazes… Followed by painting a layered ‘Bluebells in the Woods’ scene.
The Online Zoom Classes begin with ‘greetings and introductions’ with a short pre-made demonstration video for the session. The Zoom session will continue with step-by-step instructions, to be followed by you. There will be time to create and reflect on your progress, with the tutor and each other. A short break will take place halfway through for 10mins, which will give you time to chat with each other and grab a cupper. The Zoom session will be recorded for you to revisit with a private link to YouTube for everyone who attends the session. You will be given the option to turn off your video prior to recording if you do not wish to be recorded.
Demonstration videos are made to accompany the Zoom sessions and are available as a permanent resource from the tutor’s YouTube channel and Website pages.
You will be provided a ZOOM Invitation and resources links to the website and YouTube channel in an introduction emails prior to the beginning of the course.
