Royal Garden Party Draw 2026
The Council is invited to send Four guests to one of the Royal Garden Parties.
This year we would like to offer an opportunity to two members of staff plus one guest each to attend as a representative of the Authority – the four places allocated to the Vale of Glamorgan Council equates to four tickets (2 named Council employees plus one companion each who must be 18 years or over).
Please note the following guidelines that need consideration before an individual can attend:
· You and your guest must not have attended a Royal Garden Party on a previous occasion
· All attendees must be a UK resident
· You must ensure you and your guest are available on all dates, namely Wednesday 6th May, Friday 8th May and Tuesday 12th May.
· You must attend in your own time. If using annual leave/flexi – you must have approval by your Manager before putting your name forward
· Any Travel / accommodation arrangements are your responsibility. You will need to book and pay for them yourself (the Council will not fund attendance)
· Once information is submitted, we are not able to make any changes - we cannot send a replacement officer or guest
If you would like to put your name forward please send an email with your name, job title and department, appropriate email address and contact telephone number to Leader@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk using the heading ROYAL GARDEN PARTY by no later than 4pm on Friday 6th February 2026 (any nominations received after the deadline will not be accepted.)
Please note the two names selected at random will need to attend the Palace on the same date so please put forward your date preferences when responding. The final decision on the date will be made by the Palace.
Names will be drawn at random by the Leader and Chief Executive on Tuesday 10 February.
Jaci Cilia will then contact the lucky winner immediately by phone so please make sure you are able to take the call.
Jaci will then require the following additional information from you so please ensure that you are able to provide it by return email. Jaci will then complete the online submission forms on behalf of the Council.
