Bradley's Walking Warriors Complete Incredible Gower Coast Challenge
06 July 2026
Colleagues from our School Finance Team have successfully completed an incredible 26-mile Marathon Hike along the Gower Coast, raising thousands of pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Bradley, the son of our colleague Rachel Cox.
The team took on the challenge to honour Bradley, who sadly passed away from cancer at just 18 years old.
In what would have been his 30th year, they walked together to celebrate his memory while raising vital funds for a charity that provides essential care and support to people living with cancer and their families.
Thanks to people’s immense generosity, Bradley's Walking Warriors have raised an incredible £5,956 so far.
Macmillan nurses provide invaluable support to patients and their loved ones during some of life's most challenging moments, offering expert care, practical advice and compassionate guidance when it is needed most.
Speaking after the marathon hike, Rachel said: “Bradley’s Walking Warriors completed our 26-mile mighty hike on Saturday 27th June; it was the hardest thing we’ve ever done, there were lots of tears (mainly me) as it was so tough, but we did it!!!!
“I’d like to thank everyone for supporting us with your very kind donations, thanks to everyone’s generosity Bradley’s Walking Warriors are the 2nd highest fundraiser from the Gower Coast mighty hike.
“I wanted to do something memorable to remember my beautiful boy Bradley on what would’ve been his 30th birthday this December (17th) and raise funds for this amazing charity in his name. Thanks to my wonderful friends for agreeing to do the walk with me and all the generous donations, this was made possible.”
Although the hike has now been completed, there is still time to support the team's efforts. The JustGiving page will remain open for 12 weeks after the event, giving anyone who would still like to donate the opportunity to help Macmillan continue its vital work supporting people affected by cancer.
