The Santa's Cause Fun Run is back for 2026!

Join us for a festive morning of fun and fundraising in support of Santa’s Cause.

Saturday, 28th November

⏰ 11:00am - please arrive 15–20 minutes early to check in and get ready.

Barry Island Eastern Shelter

Fancy dress is encouraged - the more festive, the better (just remember to wear sensible footwear).

The loop is 2.5k long, and you can either do this loop once or twice (5k).

We ask you to make an optional donation once you've registered and to encourage your friends and family to sponsor you. There will be donation buckets on the day if you'd like to bring cash or you can make your donation online.

Donate a gift

Our Social Services teams tell us what children are hoping Father Christmas will bring, so we try to make sure gifts are personal and age appropriate.

Please drop off gifts at the Civic Offices reception desk.

If you would prefer to make a donation, we can purchase a gift on your behalf to make sure children are receiving gifts from their wish list.

• New and unused: Gifts must be new, unused and in their original packaging.
• Please don't wrap them: Gifts are given unwrapped so parents and guardians know what they are giving their children.
• Don't forget batteries: If your gift needs batteries, please include them if you can.

Donate to our fundraising raffles

Have something tucked away in a cupboard, or an unused gift from last year that isn't suitable for a child? You can still put it to good use!

We're also collecting items such as toiletries, homeware and other suitable gifts that can be raffled to raise funds for Santa's Cause. Please drop your items off at reception at the Civic Offices.

Donate unwanted wrapping paper and gift bags

If you have any unwanted wrapping paper or gift bags please consider donating them to Santa's Cause - we put a sheet of wrapping paper in all our gift bags so that parents and carers can wrap the gifts for their children. We'll take a full roll or the odd sheet! Please drop your items off at reception at the Civic Offices.
