Work Welsh Learners Graduates Celebrate Presentation In Leaders Office

Participants who completed work Welsh courses were presented their certificates of achievement by the leader of the Vale of Glamorgan council, Lis Burnett and Chief Executive, Rob Thomas.

Welsh Language courses are available free of charge to Council staff and are arranged with Work Welsh co-ordinator and Welsh tutor Sarian Thomas-Jones.

The group discussed what they had learned with each other and how they are able to use the Welsh language in their professional and personal life.

Leader of the Vale of Glamorgan council, Lis Burnett said: “Learning how to speak Welsh is a lifelong skill and provides participants with more workplace opportunities.

“The language also allows you to appreciate the culture and heritage of Wales and we would encourage everyone to learn it where possible.”

If you are interested in signing up, you will not have to use annual leave or your own time to attend the courses but please check with your manager beforehand.

There are four separate Mynediad/Entry level classes available. You only need to sign up to one. Your class will be on that day and time for the duration of the course.
