Help Shape Our Empty Property Strategy 2025 – 2030 

The Empty Property Strategy 2025-2030 will set out how we prioritise action, support property owners, and work with our communities to bring empty properties, including homes, commercial buildings, and brownfield land, back into use to help meet local housing needs, support businesses, and improve our towns and villages. 

That could mean signposting to available funding, exploring enforcement options, or creating stronger partnerships with landlords, residents, housing providers, and local businesses. 

We’ve created a short survey that should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. 

It asks for your views on: 

• Support for owners of empty properties or land 

• The impact of empty spaces on communities 

• What you think these spaces should become 

• What actions you’d like to see from the Council
