Have Your Say: Shaping Health Services for the Future

Cardiff and Vale University Health Board are developing a new ten-year plan for health services, and they’re asking for your input.

The plan, Shaping Services for the Future, Together, will act as a roadmap for how the Health Board delivers services across Cardiff and the Vale over the next decade. It will be co-produced with local communities and built on the values of inclusivity, honesty, and consistency.

What will the plan focus on?

• The Health Board’s plan will cover five key areas:
• Mental Health
• Women and people registered female at birth
• Planned Care
• Urgent Care
• Specialist & Regional Services

Why is the plan needed?

The way people use health services is changing. With an ageing population and more complex health conditions, Cardiff and Vale UHB want to make sure services can meet everyone’s needs while making the best use of staff, buildings, and technology.

How can you get involved?

The Health Board is keen to hear from everyone who uses services across Cardiff and the Vale. You can take part by:

• Joining a focus group on a specific chapter or the full plan
• Completing their online survey
• Sending feedback by email or giving them a call
• Listening to recorded sessions on their website and sharing your comments
• Inviting the team to meet with your community group
