Galentine’s Day Celebrations at Flying Start
16 February 2026
On Friday 13th February, the Flying Start team came together to celebrate Galentine’s Day, organised by the Well-Being Team.
Galentine’s Day is a celebration of friendship and appreciation between women, typically marked by taking time to recognise and uplift one another.
The kitchen was beautifully decorated, and team members brought in a variety of delicious treats to share. Face and eye masks were also provided for colleagues to take home and enjoy. An appreciation board gave everyone the opportunity to share positive feedback and recognise one another’s contributions.
Flying Start Manager Kath Clarke said: “At Flying Start, we run a range of well being sessions throughout the year, and our recent Galentine’s event was a great opportunity for the team to pause, focus on their well being, and connect with one another. The team brought in sweet treats, created an appreciation board, and shared facemasks for an at home pamper session — small gestures that helped create a relaxed, positive space for everyone.”
“It was lovely to take a moment together, appreciate each other, and enjoy something simple and uplifting at the end of a busy week.”
A huge thank you to Kate Herrington (Flying Start Well-Being Lead) and the wider Well-Being Team for organising such a thoughtful and uplifting event.
