Biodiversity Workshops
Sign up to one of the upcoming Biodiversity workshops
The Vale 2030 Corporate Plan sets out an ambition to “Respect and celebrate our environment”, a commitment to protecting our natural resources and understanding the impact of our choices. Under Section 6 of the Environment (Wales) Act 2016, public bodies have a legal duty to maintain and enhance biodiversity. But what does that mean for you?
The interactive workshops aim to help you:
- Understand your role in meeting this legal duty
- Discover practical steps to support biodiversity at work
- Learn about the Council’s Biodiversity Plan
- Find out where to access advice and resources
In your role at the Council you may be asked to report on your contributions to maintain and enhance biodiverity - these workshops will help you be prepared.
The workshops will take place in the Dunraven room on the following dates:
- Wednesday 14 January, 2 - 4pm
- Wednesday 28 January, 09.30 - 11.30am
- Wednesday 11 February, 10am - 12pm
- Wednesday 18 February, 10am - 12pm
- Wednesday 04 March, 10am - 12pm
- Wednesday 11 March, 10am - 12pm
You can book your place on a workshop through iDev (spaces are limited).
