Meet local foster carer Cora

Cora is a foster carer with Vale of Glamorgan Council’s Foster Wales team. She was inspired to foster after seeing the lasting difference a caring home made to a young person she supported as a Probation Officer.

Cora has cared for children of all ages, from young children experiencing their “firsts” to teenagers learning new skills and enjoying new experiences. She treasures the everyday milestones, from learning to ride a bike, to managing emotions, to supporting children as they meet their adoptive families.

Fostering has also helped her family grow in understanding and compassion, and she values the ongoing support, training, and guidance from the Foster Wales team.
