New Project Management Network Launching
New Project Management Network Launching
02 March 2026
We’re pleased to announce the launch of the Council’s new Project Management Network — a space designed to strengthen consistent project delivery, build officer capability, and support cross-directorate collaboration.
The Network brings together colleagues who manage or contribute to projects of all types, regardless of job title or service area. Whether you’re involved in capital schemes, service improvement, digital change, procurement, contract management, or project governance, you are welcome.
What the Network Will Do
The Project Management Network will provide a structured quarterly forum to:
- Share updates on key corporate projects and priorities
- Share lessons learned and common pitfalls to avoid
- Promote the Council’s project management standards, templates, and toolkit
- Explore tools and technologies that support effective delivery
- Offer bitesize training, skills spotlights, and peer support
- Strengthen procurement and contract management practice
- Identify systemic issues and escalate insights to senior governance
Membership is open and self nominating — any officer with an interest in project or programme delivery is encouraged to join.
Quarterly In-Person Network Sessions – Save the date!
All sessions will take place between 9:30am–12:30pm in the Cosmeston Room:
- 9 March – first session
- 7 July
- 10 November
Each session will include updates, best practice sharing, tools and tech showcases, and opportunities to connect with colleagues across the organisation.

If you would like to join the Network or want to learn more, please contact:

A dedicated Teams channel will also be launched to share resources, toolkits, templates, and meeting information.
