Ty Dyfan Residential Home Memory Walk

Care staff from Ty Dyfan Residential home recently completed the Alzheimer’s Society Memory Walk and raised £327. The money will be split between Alzheimer’s Society and the Ty Dyfan residents Activity fund.

Memory Walks are held locally by the Alzheimer’s Society in September and October, to raise money for those living with dementia. It’s a way to get together with other people who want to support dementia research, and a way to show support for each other and the charity.

A massive well done to the staff who completed the walk and thank you to everyone who so generously donated!

The next fundraising event will be Elf Day, which this year falls on 2 December. On the first Wednesday of December, Elf Day is a way for workplaces, friends and families across the country to come together to make a difference for people affected by dementia.

Whether you dress up to host collections, bake sales or to simply show support, it’s a way to show those affected by dementia they’re not alone.
