Launching Our New Data and Insight Hub

We are pleased to announce our new Data and Insight Hub, a central resource designed to improve access to data, performance information, and insight across the Council.

The Insight Hub has been developed to provide a single location where colleagues can access key information about the Vale of Glamorgan Population, about the progress we are making as an organisation and about key projects such as our work to tackle poverty.

It brings together a range of datasets, dashboards and reports, that have previously been held across multiple locations.

What is the Insight Hub?

The Insight Hub has been created to:

  • Provide easier access to data and performance information.

  • Support informed decision making across services providing evidence for reports, strategies, business cases, impact assessments and funding bids.

  • Promote a consistent approach to data and insight across the organisation.

What information is available?

The Hub currently includes a range of resources, including:

  • Interactive Dashboards and Council Performance Reports.

  • Demographic, Population and Equalities Data.

  • Local Economic Data.

  • Health Outcomes Data.

  • Data and Evidence relating to the Climate and Nature Emergencies.

  • Poverty and Equalities Data.

A continuously evolving resource

The Insight Hub will be a live resource that will continue to be developed over time. We will regularly add new datasets, reports, dashboards and tools as they become available, and work with services across the organisation to ensure the content remains relevant, accurate and useful.

As the Hub grows, we welcome feedback and suggestions on:

  • Additional information you would like to see included.

  • Resources that could be improved or enhanced.
