Claire Ford retires after 33 years of service

HR Business Partner Claire Ford is retiring after 33 years of dedicated Council service.

Following heartfelt goodbyes from those who have worked with her over the years, Claire’s final day will be on Friday 19th December 2025.

Claire began her journey with us as a Clerical Assistant in September 1992 and, through her hard work and commitment, progressed to become a Personnel Officer in 2003, before taking on her current role as HR Business Partner. 

Throughout her career, Claire has supported teams across all directorates, bringing her vast knowledge, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to everything she does. Beyond her expertise, Claire is known for her kindness, generosity, and warmth, always going above and beyond to support colleagues.

Speaking about their time working with Claire, one colleague said: “She is glamorous, full of life, and never short of a funny or dramatic story to brighten your day! Claire truly is one of a kind, and her presence will be deeply missed by everyone who has had the pleasure of working with her.”
