Thousands of residents supported by The Pod in 2025

Since launching in November 2023, The Pod has welcomed over 5,000 people, quickly becoming a vibrant hub for support, skill-building and community connection across the Vale of Glamorgan.

By bringing a wide range of wrap-around services together under one roof, The Pod is designed around what people truly need, with people at the heart of everything they do. The service offers employment and mental health support, housing guidance, digital training and essential skills development - ensuring individuals can access the right help at the right time.

Services delivered from The Pod include:

• Weekly CV drop-in sessions
• A permanent food bank
• Regular partner-led support sessions
• One-to-one neurodiversity support
• Outreach work to ensure support reaches people across the Vale

Between April and November 2025, The Pod:

• Welcomed 2,478 people
• Enrolled 589 individuals onto the CELT+ programme
• Supported 59 people into employment
• Reached 469 new individuals
• Helped 63 people gain a qualification or complete a course 

The Pod works closely with a wide range of partner organisations who deliver support directly from the hub, helping to ensure seamless and joined-up services for the community. 

These include Citizens Advice, Business Wales, Scope, Trussell Trust Foodbank, Pobl, DWP, Mind, Llamau, Adult Community Learning, Adult Learning Wales, Cyfle Cymru, and many more.

The true impact of The Pod is best reflected in the feedback from those we support.

One participant shared: “Without your help, my dreams would have remained just that - dreams. You’ve made all the difference.”

Another said: “I couldn’t be more grateful for the support you’ve provided to help me progress into my new career - without it, I would have really struggled.”
