Autism Acceptance Month

13 April 2026

Autism Acceptance Month takes place every April. Campaigns now emphasise acceptance rather than simply awareness – promoting inclusion and understanding; celebrating neurodiversity; and challenging barriers in workplaces, education, and communities.

Organisations use this month to encourage learning, start conversations, and take practical action – from improving autism understanding in the workplace to creating environments where autistic people feel respected, safe, and able to thrive.

The month includes World Autism Awareness Day on 2 April
