Leftover or unwanted Christmas gifts or wrapping? Donate them to a good cause!

Have you found yourself with spare gift bags, leftover wrapping paper or some gifts heading for the back of a cupboard after Christmas?

Rather than letting them gather dust, these items could be put to great use by supporting our Santa’s Cause campaign for 2026.

Donations can become fantastic raffle prizes to help raise funds, or gifts, and we may also be able to share some items with our care homes who regularly hold raffles to fund projects that make a real difference for residents and their families, things that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.

You can drop off any donations at the Civic Offices reception during the week commencing 12th December.

And finally, it’s a great opportunity to reflect on just how much of an impact Santa’s Cause continues to have.

The 2025 campaign was a huge success, made possible by the generosity, creativity and commitment of colleagues across the Council.

From fundraising events and gift collections to the behind-the-scenes work of the project team, every contribution helped spread a little Christmas magic to children and families across the Vale.
