Santa's Cause

Since launching in 2022, Santa’s Cause has provided thousands of gifts to children and families supported by our Social Services teams who might otherwise have gone without. None of this would have been possible without the generosity of local people and businesses. 

 

This year, our goal is to raise enough to make sure every child supported by our teams receives a gift to open on Christmas Day. As always, our social workers will let us know what the children are hoping Santa will bring, and we will do our very best to create individual gift bags tailored to their wishes to keep the magic alive.

Donate money

We do our best to give each child something we know they will love. To do so, each year we ask our Social Services team to tell us what might be on each child’s Christmas list. Financial donations mean that we can shop for exactly what that child wants to find under their Christmas tree.

We understand that not everyone will be in a position to contribute financially to Santa’s Cause.

 

If you wish to get involved, you can support Santa’s Cause at no cost by sharing the campaign with your friends and family, and on social media.

Your contribution will be recognised publicly through the Council’s social media channels and in the local press and we would be delighted to welcome you to the Civic Offices to receive our thanks in person.
