The planning and delivery of Supporting People in the Vale of Glamorgan is achieved through the following bodies:

 

 

  •  Supporting People Team

    The Supporting People Team implement the assessment of needs framework, collate the supply map, develop contracts, review and monitor existing services and coordinate the development of the Supporting People Operational Plan.

  •  Supporting People Liaison Group (SPLG)

    The Supporting People Liaison Group (SPLG) is the primary vehicle for involving all stakeholders in the Supporting People programme locally.

     

    All stakeholders of the Supporting People programme in the Vale are welcome to attend, this includes:

    • Service users
    • Service providers
    • Support workers
    • Voluntary organisations
    • Statutory agencies
    • Meetings are held approximately 4 times per year in the Civic Offices in Barry

  • Supporting People Planning Group (SPPG)

    The Supporting People Planning Group (SPPG) has responsibility for identifying service priorities for future years based on the detailed assessment of the INAM (Individual Needs Assessment Monitoring) database, supply map and data provided by stakeholders.


    The SPPG is made up as follows: -

    • Operational Manager Public Sector Housing (Chair)
    • Strategy & Supporting People Manager
    • Operational Manager Integrated Services, Social Services
    • District Manager, South Wales Area National Probation Service
    • Strategic Planning & Development Manager, Vale Local Health Board
    • Voluntary Sector Representative (from the Vale Housing & Homelessness Forum

     

     

    The SPPG meets 5 times per year to draft the Operational Plan and set down the strategy for Supporting People in the Vale for the following year.
