School Admission Arrangements 2025/26

Change to admission arrangement for the transition from primary to secondary school oversubscription criteria

 

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is consulting with prescribed consultees on its admission arrangements for the academic year 2025/26 as per the requirements of the School Admission Code 2013. 

 

The Consultees are:

  • The governing bodies of all schools in the Vale of Glamorgan

  • Neighbouring Local Authorities

  • Diocesan Directors of Education

  • The Vale of Glamorgan Admissions Forum

The only change from last year's arrangements is a proposed extension of the temporary secondary oversubscription criteria relating to those pupils on roll at a previous feeder primary secondary school prior to the withdrawal of the feeder school arrangements in September 2020, criteria 4 of the secondary school oversubscription criteria.  It is proposed to extend the temporary criteria for a further two years that would cease for the 2027/28 academic year.
