Gwenfô Nursery Unit Consultation

Consultation on the proposal to change the character of Gwenfô Church in Wales Primary school

 

Gwenfo Primary SchoolFrom 14 September to 02 November 2015 the Board of Governors of Gwenfô Church in Wales Primary school will consult with pupils, parents, teachers, governors and other stakeholders on the proposal to extend the age range of the school and create a nursery unit.

 

The Proposal:

  1. Extend the age range of the school from a 4 - 11 to a 3 - 11 years school;
  2. Establish a nursery unit within the school.

 

 

Have your Say

There are a number of ways in which you can respond to this consultation. You can either:

  • Attend the drop in session, if you have any questions about the consultation these could be answered here; or
  • Complete and return the consultation response form, provided by the school, and send it to the address below.

The closing date for responses to this consultation is 2 November 2015.  Unfortunately responses received after this date will not be considered by the Governing Body.

Publication of Statutory Notice 

 

The Governing Body have agreed to publish a statutory notice to extend the age range of the school to 3-11 years and create a 48 place nursery unit. The notice will run from the 26 November 2015 to 24 December 2015.

 

The statutory notice is available to download. Objections should be sent to Norman Craggs, Chair of Governors, at the school address above or by e-mail to gwenfops@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk


Decision

 

On 11 January 2016, the Governing Body approved the proposal to extend the age range of the school to 3-11 years and create a 48 place nursery unit.  The Governing Body carefully considered the proposal in accordance with the requirements of the School Organisation Code 2013.
