Library Service Update

All of our library branches are now open to the public with no requirement to book a visit in advance. Please check your branch's current opening hours here.


Available reservations can now be collected within the library branches and issued via our self-service kiosks. If you would still prefer to collect at the door, please contact your branch directly once you have been notified that your item is available.


Computers and printing facilities are available for use in all of our branches however capacity is limited due to social distancing requirements. To guarantee yourself a computer session, please contact your local library in advance to reserve a machine.


Please note that in accordance with rules set out by Welsh Government, all members of the public are required to wear face coverings when entering library buildings unless medically exempt.


If you’re not able to visit us in person at the moment, don’t forget that you can also join online and get free and instant access to our huge range of electronic resources including ebooks, audiobooks and magazines.

Lit Reach Scheme Project

The Vale of Glamorgan Libraries is a member of the Lit Reach Scheme run by Literature Wales.


This aims to offer creative writing opportunities for individuals and groups within  their member authorities.


A recent Lit Reach project for St Athan Library saw Year 6 from St Athan Primary work with Hip-Hop educator, lyricist and rapper Rufus Mufasa to create a rap song.
