Borrow books, music and films, enjoy free internet access and use our online resources at Vale libraries.

 

Anyone who lives, works or studies in the Vale may join a Vale of Glamorgan Library. There are 9 libraries in the Vale, all with a great selection of resources.

Join your local library

Joining in your local library is quick and easy. Simply fill out our online form for instant access to our extensive range of online resources.

Once you have registered online, you can upgrade your membership by visiting one of our branches where we can issue you a membership card.

 

When visiting a branch to register your membership don't forget to bring:

  • One proof of identity which includes your current name and address

 

If you're applying for group membership, e.g. a reading group, we may ask for some additional information.


Under 16?

If you're under 16 you'll need a parent or legal guardian to act as guarantor. If they're unable to come into the library we’ll send them a letter to confirm they are happy for you to join.

Once you've joined you''ll get a library card and PIN for your own use. You can use your library card to access the fantastic range of services at any library in the Vale: you can borrow books, music and films, get free internet access use our online resources, borrow eBooks and eAudio books.

Please remember

Keep your library card safe, and do not divulge your PIN, as you are responsible for anything that you borrow with it.

 

Please contact the library by email, phone or in person if any of your personal details change, and make sure that you tell us straight away if your card is lost or stolen so that we can stop anyone else using it.
