Information and guidance for various transport services across the Vale of Glamorgan including school and public transport.

Service Updates: 

• Roadworks and Road Closures:  Due to various road works and closures throughout the Vale of Glamorgan, local bus services are likely to be diverted and possibly delayed.  Areas likely to be affected include:

  • Cardiff Road, Dinas Powys (18 July - 30 August); Services 93, 95, 304, 305 affected.
  • Please check with service operators prior to travel.  Further details of roadworks and closures can be found on the Councils web page: Roadworks and Road Closures

• Services:

  • Service 7 (Penarth - Cardiff) has been extended to serve the University Hospital of Wales (Heath).
  • Summer Special Service 91 (Cardiff - Penarth Esplanade) from 22/06/2026 to 31/08/2026.
  • Service X2 (Porthcawl - Cardiff) will run via Leckwith into Cardiff from 31/08/2026.
  • Cardiff Bus: Summer service changes from 19th July 2026
  • Cardiff Bus: Summer Family Travel Saver - all day travel for just £6 this summer
  • Mobility Scooters on Cardiff Bus services.
