Children in Reception to Year 11 are automatically assessed for free school transport:
- Primary Pupils: Eligible if they live over 2 miles from their catchment school (or next nearest available suitable school if full)
- Secondary Pupils: Eligible if they live over 3 miles from their catchment school (or next available suitable school if full)
- Distances are measured by the shortest available walking route and pupils will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult if necessary
No application forms are needed, letters, emails and/or passes will be sent directly to pupils/parent/carers in time for the new academic year.
Only the following pupils/parents/carers need to contact the school transport team:
- Late enrolments
- Recent address changes
- Starting Post-16 (Year 12) in September
All existing pupils that have had free school transport this year will automatically receive a letter/email/bus pass (please contact us if you have moved address recently)
Pupils who are entering Year 12 wishing to continue their studies attending their catchment school or St David’s College, will need to inform the school transport team no later than one week following their exam results in order to receive their pass for the beginning of September.
